Community Iron supporting Others
December 2015 – Braintree Home Start
Christmas Crafts & Floodlit Carols
We supported Braintree Home Start with our annual Christmas Celebration & outdoor floodlit Carol Concert on December 13th. The Social Club was packed with families doing craft activities during the early afternoon and then Bradfield Brass Band arrived to provide the music for the carol concert. Club chaplain & Community Iron Trustee, Rev. Barry Cheesman led the service.
There was collection for Home Start which raised over £250 .

Soccability hits the Discovery Centre
Sociability is the generic name for football tailored for disabilities. Community Iron organise 3 Sociability Days for local schools at The Discovery Centre each year. Or students coaches supervise football drills and skills and then referee small sided games between the teams. We typically have 6 or more teams with over 50 children attending.
